Day trip - Adler Planetarium

We had a rare Sunday where the girls horse lessons after church were cancelled. Church was also not offering Sunday school that week - so we decided to go to Chicago and visit the Planetarium. It is a wonderful place - and right near Solider field where the Bears play. We did get nice family shot right by the Chicago skyline. It is a place I used to go to for field trips in grade school. It was a very hot, 98 degree day. Pic below.

Wow - what a job to have so many parties - but the kids enjoy it. Kid party, family party, sleepover with 7 girls, 4 year old tractor ride party, football party, family party number 2 for the boys, etc. you name it and we do it all within 5 weeks. Here are some of the key photos.

We now own 2 small 4-wheelers that we ride around the back yard. We are not becoming rednecks, just trying to have fun! Football is always a favorite, along with washing the dog, and simply running around and getting that energy out! I always enjoy seeing a smile on the kids faces. It is often times the little things in life that make the best memories!

This year, it was just our immediate family. We went earlier this year, and there were no crowds at all! We were only able to pick cortland apples - but that is ok - they taste great !

Football - Riley.

For first home game of the year at the high school - Riley and his team ran out on the field for the pre-game. He had a good time, and it was a nice Friday evening. Beth and I even saw an old high school friend from 18 years ago! pics below…

New Property - some fun…

The new property is coming along - we are finished with the foundation, remodeling the barn, and are currently framing the house as of October 2010. Below are some pics of us picking grapes from the small vineyard, feeding the horses apples, and enjoying mother nature.

This year we avoided the rain, that is the good news; the bad news was that it felt like 100 degrees out there. Very fun day - and all went well. Scott had a few new band members - and this year we rented “sumo suits” see pics below. Besides that it was fairly typical for the Miller annual party.
